Dissemination and Transfer of Appropriate Technology

Objectives of the Project

Some of the major objectives of the Project are :

To make the developed technology available to the BPL families so that they can use it to enhance their income;
To enable the artisans to improve their productivity in terms of quantity and quality in order to compete in the urban markets;
To provide skill upgradation opportunities to the rural artisans;
To provide entrepreneurial skills to the trained beneficiaries for setting up their own enterprises;
To involve NGOS for the transfer of technology to the rural area;
To create awareness about technology availability through demonstrations and exhibitions; and
To build infrastructure facilities at the demonstration centers of RTIG for propagating the already developed technologies.
